District Five covers Union City, Chattahoochee Hills, Palmetto, South Fulton, Fairburn, College Park, East Point, SE Atlanta and Ponce/Highland. We are the largest district in Fulton County with a 90% Black population and approximately 200,000 constituents.
Dr. Jazz Thomas-Jones, a native of Albany Georgia, who has resided in "South" metropolitan Atlanta since 1989. She is a dedicated social justice advocate who serves the community as an Independent Freelance Journalist, Minister, and Syndicate Podcaster.
As Founder @ Champion For Justice Network, Dr. Jazz' advocates for social justice and equality. She was instrumental in reaching out to Attorneys Ben Crump, and Gerald Griggs which brought national attention to "Police Brutality" and social injustice during the murders of Trayvon Martin, Mark Brown, Tamir Rice, and many others.
Dr. Jazz' has been a Street Minister for decades, ministering to lost souls on her daily journey. She serves as an ordained minister under the guidance and leadership of Assembly of God USA. She is a devoted mother of two, and a loving grandmother.
Dr. Jazz' is President and Founder @ Platinum Media Network, she is a Pioneer of Digital Media and Internet Radio. A content creator, media guru and syndicate podcast producer who share "True Life Experiences" of the lives of Extraordinary Leaders and Entertainers.
Dr. Jazz' has worked with various entities and levels of city, county, and state governments. She is a decorated military veteran who served her country honorably.
